Day 4 - Dil Walon ki Dilli | New Delhi

4th December 2015

Mentor on Road had one of the best interactions at BIMTECH in greater Noida with students, faculty & Sme's. The institution led by Director Dr. H Chaturvedi, faculty Dr. Abha Rishi and team are amazing. They have amazing commitment to excellence & innovation and world class infrastructure to support their passion. India's future is in good hands.

Mr. Ajay Sahai, Director General of federation of Indian exporters organisation - FIEO & Mr. Rakesh Kumar, ED of export promotion council of handicrafts - EPCH shared their visionary thoughts.

Very smart questions were asked by students on ease of doing business, Make in India, Skill India, smart India, Clean india & Digital India.

A big thanks to BIMTECH team for supporting nation building efforts.

Mentor On Road was received with a warm welcome by members of Bahadurgarh chamber of commerce & industry. SIDBI supported the event. There was an interesting q&a session. One of the issues they are facing is :

1. Land wrongly allotted by government of Haryana and 120 factories already running. Now high court has given judgement that those factories should close down. Factory owners day it was govt mistake the. Why are they being punished ?

2. MSME act says turnover of 25 lacs investment in machinery comes under micro industry, 5 crore under small industry & 10 crore under medium. But every year inflation is rising, and this definition changes only once in 5 years. So it should be linked to inflation. Also there is need to change the definition from investment & turnover to other criteria, as in done globally.

We promised to bring these issues to the notice of relevant departments.

Visited a shoe manufacturing factory in Bahadurgarh who make 20,000 shows a day and they say they have never seen depression in 20 years because of top quality & packing.

Mentored their two young successors for international market  access & online shows sales. Several steps given to them & I hope to share their success story here soon.
