The project will cover 18 states, 27 cities, mentoring 6000+ companies by travelling cross country 9400+ kms cities to be covered under project include Ahmedabad, Surat, Nashik, Pune, Belgaum, Panaji, Mangaluru, Kochi, Madurai, Coimbatore, Mysore, Vijayawada, Vizag, Raipur, Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Patna, Varanasi, Kanpur, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Delhi, Jaipur and Indore. The 65 day long project will conclude on July 7.
During the course of the project, the mentor plans to travel by road, across the country meeting SME’s, rural enterprises, young entrepreneurs, professionals, industry associations, academic partners, Gujarati samaj, local community leaders etc to guide and support the businesses for international market linkage & make in India, over a long period of time.
In this process, a local mentor from each city will join the tour and will be with the chief mentor for two days and will be equipped for continuity for one year. Mentors will connect companies to global value chains abroad and to supply chains in India.
We are also meeting Gujarati Samaaj in each of the 27 cities to share with them the message of PM Narendra Modi that Gujaratis outside Gujarat need to teach their kids to read & write Gujarati language also because they generally only speak Gujarati language at home but can't read or write. Same applies to Tamils outside Tamil Nadu and all other Indian regional languages. We will also mentor the Gujarati youngsters and businesses on international market access & CSR for local community.
Social media of Facebook, linkedin, twitter, whatsapp and Instagram are being used to promote the project. The project also has mentors from three countries : Manitoba - Canada, Germany & USA who will support the trip in-between several geographic segments of 27 cities.
District Collectors in each of the 27 locations will inaugurate the event where the mentor-on-road team will do a presentation on Make in India and take questions on paint points of industry and at the end of the tour, submit a report to PM task force for SME's.
On June 21, mentor-on-road will celebrate International Yoga Day, which was announced after an appeal by PM Narendra Modi to UN in Dehradun with a discussion on "Role & importance of Yoga in business development in modern times".
About the project
Mentor on Road, (www.mentoronroad.com) is a concept envisaged by the Founder and Chief Mentor of Cluster Pulse, an Economic Development agency and Global Network, an International Trade advisory firm – Jagat Shah from Ahmedabad. Mentor-on-Road shall provide an opportunity to the beneficiary companies to connect them to international markets through various modes like Skype meetings, Video conference, Email introductions, Whatsapp, Social media etc. 3500 live business contacts of India & abroad will be moving with the mentor in the car, by way of visiting cards. Companies will be constantly supported by the chief mentor, Jagat Shah along with a local mentor from each city. Mentors shall also be offering solutions to companies to their pain points in areas of finance, marketing, production, HR, IPR, innovations, IT etc through their partner network like technology partner SAP, digital partner ALIBABA.COM, Education partner INDUS UNIVERSITY, GPS partner ESEC, banking partner YES BANK, Energy partner ETain immodo Renewables Ltd., logistics partner & insurance partner. These partners will come to each location to address the companies. GPS system installed in the car will track the car movement for their back office. The project is backed by nine person team in back office in Ahmedabad.
