Tampa is a major city in, and the county seat of, Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. It is located on the west coast of Florida on Tampa Bay, near the Gulf of Mexico, and is the largest city in the Tampa Bay area. 

Tampa was ranked as the 5th best outdoor city by Forbes in 2008. Tampa also ranks as the fifth most popular American city, based on where people want to live, according to a 2009 Pew Research Center study.

Tampa Bay BPW (Business and Professional Women) is an organization of business and professional women dedicated to the support and advocacy of working women within Tampa Bay and throughout the State of Florida. The organisation works to help women achieve professional success by offering programs and support to help them advance their careers, build their businesses and connect with like-minded women in the Tampa Bay area and throughout the State of Florida.

Anybody who is looking to exchange ideas, build business leads, learn a new skill, find peers in their field, or simply connect with other professionals within the community, can join them at one of their regular luncheon events or their annual Networking Night venue where they raise funds to benefit Tampa Bay BPW Foundation and provide scholarships to deserving women within their community. 

Originally the Westshore Midday Business and Professional Women's Club of Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay BPW was formed in May of 1992 as an affiliate of BPW/Florida.

Day 16 of Mentor on Road, USA, started with the first event at Tampa Bay Business and Professional Women. We had an interesting discussion on how we can increase women empowerment by connecting women owned businesses in both the countries. We were glad to meet women who are so concerned and have intelligent views towards women empowerment. They were surprised to know about the positive changes taking place in India for women empowerment as well as in New India 3.0.

Mentor on Road shared details about the UN Women's “heforshe” program. We look forward to working on some projects with Tampa Bay Business and Professional Women.
