Day
40 of Mentor on Road, USA started with a wonderful event with the American small-medium
companies. To conduct business in India successfully, Mentor on Road shared
about several effective strategies. Also, presented about the developments of New
India 3.0.
Overall, the session was highly interactive where interesting questions were raised by the audience and Mentor on Road could answer all of them. The questions start with a negative perception of India but we are glad that by the end of our talk we are able to make people understand and change their views and it eventually turns out to be an interest in doing business with India.
We feel immensely satisfied to be contributing to this positive changed mind set in American companies. A big thanks to Global Chamber and One Piece in San Francisco for making a genuine effort to put together an amazing bunch of companies for the event including companies dealing in electric vehicle solutions, women empowerment, block chain technology, smart city solutions, sanitation, etc.
Mentor on Road will soon be connecting them to companies and to the opportunities present in India.

Mentor on Road then headed to an event with women owned businesses in San
Francisco organized by San Francisco International Women Entrepreneurs group at
Runway. Mentor on Road was glad to meet a group of women who were so sharp,
intelligent, involved and motivated in their goals.
We had a deep conversation on several challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in both the countries, the USA and India. We found out that both the countries share a lot of similarities as well as differences in those challenges.
We would soon be hosting a women entrepreneur’s delegation from USA to India.

The San Francisco International Women Entrepreneurs Forum, established in 2013, is a unique alliance of international chambers, business associations and organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The Forum delivers a platform for diverse international organizations to collaborate and share resources and give visibility to various projects and initiatives, start-ups and businesses directed to or run by women.
Through this collaboration they
have inspired many women to change the conversation on how they are perceived
in business and as entrepreneurs.
Some examples of the changes that
have been instigated both locally and internationally include the following:
- Launch of their first international Hub in Spain in March 2014 hosted by the US Embassy in Madrid, with liaisons in Madrid and the Canary Islands. In the latter, they are building alliances with different institutions to start a Youth Program for girls to learn how to code and to establish a Social Lab.
- The establishment of other Hubs is being discussed with liaisons in Australia, China (Beijing), Italy, Mexico and Sweden.
- Jane Sloane from Global Fund for Women, the guest speaker in March, inspired many attendees to join the movement to enhance the livelihoods of women in developing countries.
Jai Ho! (Let victory be yours)
